『彼は誰』の建物は、時代と共に不要となり、長期間廃墟として放置されていた公共施設です。以前は「老人憩いの家」として高齢者の人々のレクリエーションや教養の場として使われていました。『彼は誰』はこの建物をリノベーションし活用しています。
長期間海風にさらされ風化している素材もどこか愛しげに思えるような、そんな建築として生まれ変わることを想像しながらつくっています。時間が経って古くなった部分と、新しく手を入れた部分が均衡し、この風景と等価となる空間をぜひ体感していただければと思います。

The building of "kawatare" is a public facility that had been abandoned for a long time, having become unnecessary with the times. It was previously used as a “home for the elderly” for recreation and culture for the elderly. kawatare renovates and utilizes this building.

The materials that have been exposed to the sea winds and weathering for a long period of time seem somehow lovable, and we are imagining their rebirth as such architecture. We hope you will experience a space where the old and the newly renovated parts are in equilibrium and become equivalent to the landscape.
